Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Taligentplatform, websites, APIs and related services (together, the “Service”) provided by Taligent. By creating an account, clicking “I agree” or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
1. The Service
Taligent provides AI-assisted tools for salary benchmarking, recruitment cost modelling, job specification analysis, interview preparation and lead finding. Outputs are generated using large language models and third-party data sources and are provided for informational purposes. Taligent does not give legal, tax, employment, financial or professional advice, and outputs should be reviewed by a suitably qualified person before being relied upon.
2. Accounts and Organisations
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account and for the acts and omissions of users you invite to your organisation. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
3. Subscriptions, Credits and Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Use of certain AI agents consumes “credits” from your organisation’s balance. Credits are non-refundable and have no cash value. Unless stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable, prices exclude VAT and other applicable taxes, and prices may be updated on reasonable notice. By starting a paid subscription you authorise our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until the subscription is cancelled in accordance with these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service in violation of any law or third-party right; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or scrape the Service except as permitted by law; (c) upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful or that you do not have the right to share; (d) use the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing; (e) interfere with the integrity, performance or security of the Service; or (f) use AI-generated outputs to make solely automated decisions about individuals where applicable law requires human review.
5. Your Content and Data
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (“Customer Content”). You grant Taligent a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit and process Customer Content solely to provide, secure and improve the Service. Taligent does not use Customer Content to train its own foundation models without your explicit consent. Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including OpenAI for language model inference, Stripe for payments, Supabase for hosted storage and identity, Resend for transactional email, and Lusha and similar B2B data providers for contact enrichment. Your use of those features is subject to the relevant third-party terms.
7. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other party’s non-public information using at least the same degree of care it uses to protect its own confidential information, and in no event less than a reasonable standard of care.
8. Intellectual Property
Taligent and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in and to the Service, including all software, models, branding and documentation. No rights are granted other than the limited right to use the Service under these Terms.
9. Warranties and Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taligent disclaims all implied warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Taligent does not warrant that AI-generated outputs are accurate, complete or up to date, and you are responsible for reviewing them before use.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taligent will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Taligent’s aggregate liability under these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the fees paid by you for the Service in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) one hundred pounds (£100). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Suspension and Termination
You may cancel a subscription at any time from your billing settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. Taligent may suspend or terminate the Service immediately on notice if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or use the Service in a way that creates risk for Taligentor others.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give reasonable notice by email or in-product. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
